Recently, I decided that I need to refocus my life. What I mean about this is that I spend a lot of my free time cross stitching or surfing online. I don’t read like I used to when I was a teen and when I was in college. I asked myself the question, what if I stopped surfing the web and dedicated time each day to reading and writing?
One of the results is that I’m reading more. Another is that I am taking a writing class at Writers and Books. A third is this blog.
I have a lot to say about books. I see this blog as a way to share what I’m reading, review books, “judge books by their covers” (I’ll explain this in another post) and, hopefully, host authors who do blog tours. I will probably blog about libraries and librarianship because, well, that’s what I do for a living. I hope to engage people in conversation about these things.
I must warn you that most of what I read is YA literature. After all, I am a YA librarian.
Thanks for reading.
